Having traveled extensively, adventurer and photographer Ken Trefny's work draws upon his love of the natural world to bring his unique journey and perception to a wider audience. Gaining inspiration from the works of such luminaries as Ansel Adams and Galen Rowell, as well as a passion for outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking, Ken captures diverse subject matter ranging from the glories of the Grand Canyon and the Alaskan wilds to the slow, haunting urban decay of Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. His close affinity for, and interaction with, his surroundings lends itself to a body of work that is at once universal and highly personal, showing places, animals, and people in settings that reveal and enhance their innate beauty.
